Our Little Helper

Chase has really taken an interest in helping Mama and Daddy around the house, so we've tried to be creative in coming up with things for him to help us do. His favorite thing to "help" do is fill up a big cup with dog food and pour it in the dog bowls for Tanner and Max. We also let him give them treats, and his little face just lights up when he sees how excited they get over what he's holding in his hand. Well, this past Thursday after work, Billy was headed to the back yard to give Max some fresh water, and Chase just had to tag along! Then, he just had to help hold the water hose.....then hold it by himself......then pour the water in the bowl by himself. Of course, Max was constantly drinking the water from the hose and playing in it, so Chase decided he wanted to do the same. We finally stripped Chase down to his diaper and let him have at it! Both of the boys (Chase and Max) had a LARGE time!!! And yes - we got it all on camera!!

August: Birthdays, Anniversary & Farewell...

The Boutwell family spent last weekend in Tupelo. It was bittersweet: we celebrated the August birthdays of Grandmother, Amanda and Billy, as well as my parents' 40th anniversary; but we had to say farewell to the Webbs. Even though they've moved and we'll miss them terribly, we're so happy for Thomas' new job and the new and exciting opportunities that await them!!! We didn't get very camera happy, but did manage to get a few pictures to share. Chase always treasures his visits with his cousins and has so much fun playing with the big kids!! Here are a few of those treasured moments....

Little Swimmer!

Last weekend, we went to see Poppy and P.G. We had so much fun and really enjoyed our visit. They have a swimming pool, so Chase got to spend more time in the water. He also got to help P.G. pick figs off their fig tree. After he ate the first fig, you couldn't stop him from picking and eating more. By the time they finished, he was showing P.G. which figs were ripe!

While we were swimming, he learned a new trick - jumping in the pool! I bet after the first jump, there were 20 more that followed. We got a couple of them on video. Watch our little swimmer.....

Bath Time - Take Two!

As I said before, Chase loves his bath, and takes off running to the tub anytime he hears the water turned on. He has become such the little character.....we never know what he's going to say or do. One night during bathtime he was cutting up big time - and we got it all on video! Here are a few clips of Chase in rare form - enjoy!!

Sprinkler Time!

Well, I apologize for how long it's been since my last post. We have all taken turns with an ear and/or sinus infection over the last two weeks. But everyone is off their medicine now and seems to be well (knock on wood)! Nevertheless, we still managed to capture some fun moments. These are of Chase playing in the sprinkler one Saturday while we worked in the yard. As usual, much fun was had!!
